Chamomile floral water is the pure hydrosol collected during steam distillation of Matricaria recutita flowering tops from Bioform's own certified organic plantations. It carries the water-soluble aromatic and active compounds of German chamomile — including a proportion of chamazulene-derived components and bisabolol oxides — in a gentle, skin-compatible aqueous form that is considerably less concentrated and more skin-friendly than the essential oil.
Bioform's chamomile hydrosol is never re-distilled, reconstituted or blended with added essential oil. Its delicate, sweet, apple-like chamomile character and naturally skin-soothing properties make it a valuable active in facial toners, sensitive skin formulations, after-sun preparations and baby care products.
