Bioform was established in 2005 when the Öztürk family began cultivating a small piece of agricultural land in Tazha, a village in the heart of Bulgaria's Rose Valley. What started as a modest farming operation has been shaped, year by year, by the direct involvement of the family at every level of the business — from working the fields and managing distillation runs, to building lasting relationships with customers across the world.
Today, Bioform remains entirely owned and managed by the Öztürk family. There are no external shareholders, no parent company, and no institutional investors influencing decisions. The people you speak with when you contact Bioform are the same people responsible for every batch that leaves the facility. That structure creates something no corporate supply chain can replicate: genuine accountability, personal continuity, and a long-term view of every relationship.
When you work with Bioform, you work with a family that has staked its name, its land, and its livelihood on the quality of what it produces.
Our purpose-built production facility houses several distinct processing areas, each dedicated to a specific extraction method. Steam distillation produces our essential oils and floral waters using only pure water and steam — no solvents, no shortcuts. A dedicated solvent extraction unit produces our concretes, absolutes, and PEA using food-grade hexane or pharmaceutical-grade ethanol.
Liquid and dry extracts are produced using our industrial spray dryer, converting botanical extracts into stable, concentrated dry powders. Our cold press area processes raw plant material without heat or chemical modification, preserving the full nutritional and aromatic profile of carrier and base oils. A final processing area handles the drying and cutting of botanical herbs to customer specification.
Bioform operates its own accredited analytical laboratory on site, equipped with Gas Chromatography (GC) and Gas Chromatography–Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) instrumentation. This allows us to provide complete chemical profile analysis for every production batch — independently, without reliance on third-party laboratories for core quality assurance.
Our laboratory also performs full pesticide residue screening and is continuously being upgraded. We supply Certificate of Analysis (COA), GC-MS reports, and Material Safety Data Sheets (SDS/MSDS) for all products as standard, and are available to discuss specific analytical requirements for regulated markets including pharmaceutical and nutraceutical applications.
Our plantations are located in a naturally sheltered valley near the Balkan Mountains, at an altitude of 500–600 metres. This combination of mountain air, long sunshine hours, and mineral-rich rocky soil creates exceptional growing conditions — the same environment that has made the Bulgarian Rose Valley world-famous for centuries.
All fields are cultivated to certified organic and biodynamic standards, using both manual labour during sensitive growth and harvesting periods, and mechanisation where appropriate. We own and manage every hectare ourselves — no contracted growers, no external sourcing.
