Sunflower seed oil is cold pressed from the seeds of Helianthus annuus. Unrefined, it keeps the light golden colour and mild, nutty character of the seed, together with its naturally high linoleic acid (omega-6) content and tocopherols (vitamin E) — making it one of the most versatile base oils in food, cosmetic and nutraceutical formulation.
Bioform's sunflower oil is produced by mechanical cold pressing with no heat treatment, solvents or chemical modification, and is not refined, bleached or deodorised. It is supplied with COA including fatty acid profile per batch. Typical applications include cosmetic carrier and massage oils, emulsions and soaps, premium food products and dietary supplement formulations.
